Cabrio 5700 : Whirlpool WTW5700XW

This is the worst washing machine ever. If it was intended to create a machine that fails to wash soap out of clothes, wrinkled clothing beyond recognition and was noisy, then this machine totally fits the intended purpose. We have owned ours now for a week and after trying all the troubleshooting information in the manual, tried different methods of piling clothes in the tub, tried light and heavy loads, mixing fabric types, very light amounts of High Efficiency soap, and basically anything else that would salvage our experience with this machine. It won't even clean loads that have been washed with soap, and then re-washed without soap. The clothes get wrinkled so badly that no amount of rinsing gets inside the folds of fabric. So any dark fabrics end up with white spots all over them.

I will add that the machine is also really noisy, at least when compared to our old Kenmore Elite agitator machine. We got 20 years of service out of that machine without any problems other than an occasional out of balance load. Oh how I wish we still had it but in our excitement for our new Cabrio I let them take it away on the truck.

I only wish I had seen the prior reviews before purchasing this machine. Instead of searching on this model and "reviews", I should have searched on this model and "problems", since it seems there are quite a few well known ones with the top loading, agitator plate models. We are going to try returning this model to the store and replace it with a good old-fashioned, wasteful, agitator model.
